At Animal Care Society, our no-kill commitment means every dog, puppy, cat, and kitten in our care receives the medical attention they need—no matter the cost.
While many of our animals require only routine care such as vaccinations, preventatives, and spay/neuter services, some arrive in urgent need of critical, life-saving treatment.
These emergency cases are where our Spirit Fund becomes essential. Without the support of this dedicated fund, the outlook for many of these vulnerable animals would be far less hopeful. The Spirit Fund ensures that every animal, regardless of their condition upon arrival, has a true chance at healing and finding their forever home.
Help Us Help Atlas: A Spirit Fund Story
At Animal Care Society, our Spirit Fund exists to help the animals who need us the most—those who come into our care with urgent and often critical medical needs.
Today, we’re asking for your help.
Meet Atlas, a courageous dog who has come to us under heartbreaking circumstances. After being struck by a car, it was discovered that Atlas has a weeks-old broken pelvis, an injury that now prevents surgical intervention due to the time that has passed. Despite the pain and trauma he has endured, Atlas’s spirit remains unbroken.
Atlas urgently needs a dedicated foster home where he can receive the crate rest and gentle care required over the next 6–8 weeks. All medical supplies, food, and support will be provided by ACS—what we need is someone with a big heart and a quiet space to help him heal.
If fostering isn’t an option, please consider donating to our Spirit Fund. Your contribution helps cover the costs of care for Atlas and other animals like him who rely on us—and on you—for a second chance.
