Kentucky’s first no-kill shelter is planning to expand its campus as the organization celebrates is 40th anniversary.
Currently, Animal Care Society’s facility is able to house 24 dogs and 35 cats, providing shelter, medical care and love to animals throughout the community.
Wednesday, they announced they’ve acquired extra land to grow the campus on Westport Road, near the Ford Truck Plant.
The group executive director said the new expansion will double the shelter’s capacity.
