Stray Animals Currently in Our Care
The animals listed below have recently arrived at our shelter as strays. If you recognize an animal, please contact us as soon as possible so we can help reunite them with their family.
All stray animals are placed on a 5-day stray hold to allow time for their owners to locate and reclaim them. During this time, stray animals are not available for adoption, cannot be visited with, and cannot leave Animal Care Society property.
After the stray hold period has ended, animals will move into our Awaiting Medical status while they receive the care needed before becoming available for adoption. This includes:
- Spay/neuter surgery
- Microchipping
- Age-appropriate vaccinations
- Heartworm testing (for dogs)
- FELV+ and FIV testing (for cats)
Once an animal has completed their medical requirements and is officially made available by our adoption team, adoption fees will apply.
Please note: We may accept adoption applications for stray animals while they are in the stray hold or awaiting medical process. However, these animals are still considered first come, first serve once they become available for adoption. Submitting an application does not guarantee placement.
